Displaying more than 2,000 artifacts, Cook's Natural Science Museum educates visitors about the wildlife common to the Tennessee Valley through interactive, hands-on exhibits. Exotic insects as well as many protected and endangered species are displayed in the museum, often in replicas of their natural habitats. The museum is located in the center of Decatur, close to many public parks as well as the Tennessee River.
